Marble Canyon with Dreamland Safari Tours

I have long wanted to explore the canyons and sandstone formations around Kanab, Utah. It all came true the week of April 12. Meg and I, with another couple, arranged for private day tours through a premier outfitter, Dreamland Safari Tours.

We could not have asked for better guides and better locations to explore and photograph. Andrea, Bret, Brent, and Orion filled us with information that made each site come alive, whether geology, Native American archaeology, or botany. Dreamland Safari Tours gave us a once in a lifetime experience.

So Marble Canyon, forty miles down the Colorado River from Lees Ferry was our first day. it is one a the few places on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon that you can see the river. We hiked a trail in the Saddle Mountain Wilderness that led to the canyon rim. White clouds, blue sky and river, canyon colors created a visual feast for us.
