Monday sunset at the Painted Hills: Bob Carter and I left early afternoon, drove to Mitchell where we pitched our tents in the city park. Rain started as we drove the ten miles to the Painted HIlls. At the Painted Cove, a subset of color beyond the overlook, we encountered a production crew that was filming an ad for a British clothing company. They were fascinating people to talk with. The skies stayed overcast and misty with low clouds. AND THEN:Through a low gap in the clouds, the sky EXPLODED, in a way I rarely see. Enjoy.
