It had been decades since Meg and I had hiked into Crawfish Lake, which lies on the the backside of Anthony Lake. Round trip is only three miles. However, within that three miles, the hiker finds a full spectrum of trail experiences from steep stream crossings and mud maneuvering, to level hiking through wildflower open hillsides and tree lined pathways, to steady uphill and steep uphill sections. We finished this most satisfying hike with beer and hamburgers at the Starbottle Inn at the Athony Lake ski area.
