BSA Troop 514 used to hike from Cape Lookout to the beach and then southward along the beach to begin their weeklong summer stay at Camp Meriwether. Recently, while Meg and I were staying with our son and his wife, he suggested we do it again to revive his memories of those trips. It was delightful day together.
